Loading Samples into Array from Java on Android
I'm developing an Android app that essentially is a kind of fancy (sample accurate) audio sequencer. I have a working patch that schedules the triggering of samples stored in arrays when receiving messages from the Java layer.
However I have an issue in that I need to be able to change the samples in the arrays from outside PD in the android Java layer. The reason is that I'd like my samples to be .ogg or mp3 files dynamically decoded into PCM when needed and then sent to the patch.
First question is - is there a way to load an mp3 or an ogg file into an array of my PD patch? (it would make my life much easier, but there doesn't seem to be the required objects in Vanilla)
alternatively if at the Java layer I manage to decode an ogg/mp3, what is the best way to get it loaded into the array of my patch?
Many many thanks for your help
(Loving libpd by the way!)
