Latency when moving between view controllers

So far my project has two view controllers in Storyboard - one for synth, another for audio - but when I switch between them I'm getting this warning ("Pd: warning: delay: multiply defined") come up which is causing a latency at least in the audio section which handles audio input.

Basically I'm fairly clueless as to how to go about fixing this so I was wondering if any of you good people could help me?

Ok I think I've isolated the problem in so far as when I move between view controllers the patch is reopened each time.
So I guess my new question is, is there a way to close patches when moving between views?

Sorry for the conversation to myself

Old thread, but I'm curious - can you describe the problem you were having, specifically, and how you fixed it?

I was just thinking that we probably should have an example that illustrates multiple views / multiple view/controllers.

Or, actually, maybe this is even simpler - maybe we should do a little tutorial on views and subviews and how they relate to the viewcontroller handling libpd. But that's why it'd be useful to know your experience!
