Writing files to application sandbox
Hello everyone. I'm sorry if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find a straight answer to this. Is it possible to make a pd patch create a file (sound file, to be exact) in the application sandbox? I'd like to make an app that records a sound (create soundfile1) then applies an effect to it (create soundfile2) and lets the user to get soundfile2 (by mail or something similar). Is it possible to do this using writesf~? Or should I create placeholder files in the app sandbox before compiling? Right now, I can do this in the iPhone Simulator when I have the placeholder files, but I cannot record any sound when I run the application on the device, even if I have the placeholders. I'd be glad if anyone can enlighten me on this.
