| Mine are kind of speckled dark and light grey. They're almost too thick to be wearing with these shoes (dunlop volley slip ons), but it's Aussie winter time, I've been out of europe too long and have reverted to the useless-in-cold-weather mode which all Queenslanders are born into. |

It's going to be 100 degrees F in NYC, so no socks here.
Damn you, Al Gore, if you hadn't noticed this, maybe global warming ... erm ... wouldn't be happening. Is it time to start discussing eco-friendly, power efficient electronic music? |

I can't remember which magazine/blog I first saw this in - it's apparently the UK's first solar powered recording studio... a great example for future studio builders.
I still haven't seen that Al Gore film - heard it's good and about eco-issues and stuff but that's about it. Is it actually in theatres or is it just an online thing?
Oh and jet black by the way - I have about 20 of the exact same pairs and that's it. I think if I had the money I'd be one of those people who has a wardrobe full of the same outfit - why change a good thing?! |

| One's black, one's grey (hey, it's laundry day, yay!), and both have *ahem* strategically placed air conditioning around the toes and heel. |

i'm like Rozling, except with red socks. I buy a dozen at the same time so that they're all the same shade of red, so they fade at the same rate and so they all wear out at the same time. Then I can replace them with another dozen.
I was married in red socks. The color makes me happy and they seem to amuse others. Some coworkers ask to look at my socks from time to time. i think it reassures them... maybe lets them know they haven't fallen into some other universe. But mostly it's for convenience. My socks always match and they can be readily sorted out from my wife's socks. |

Socks? In this weather?
It's 90 degrees in Maine right now and it's noon. Now, you may laugh at me complaining about 90 degree heat when some of you are suffering through what seems like the surface of the sun, but people from New England have evolved to only be functional in subzero temperatures. They even closed the colleges today due to excessive heat... but I think that has more to do with the fact that people instinctively put a pea-coat on when they leave the house and nobody wants to lose paying students to heatstroke. |
