I don't think we have any reliable estimates as to how many people are participating, but it seems that word has gotten out.

This is it! You've found the thread!

I think the best thing will be this thread + Flickr for photos + wherever you want to post videos, really (we prefer Vimeo.com around here, but YouTube.com is always the best way to get audience ...)

If you've got a cool project, you can also email me directly (and I'll forward around). Contact all below or available on the main page.

I took some 'glamour shots' of the stuff I bought from some op-shops today.

I might have to get my wife to hide the screwdrivers or something.

Anyways, I put them up on Flickr and tagged them with 'circuitbendingchallenge' which seems like as a good a tag as any to keep track of submissions.

Sweet. I love that they're so cheap -- that's definitely the idea. No eBay scalping of Casio keyboards necessary. Wink

Will promote that tag ... I like it. And you're the first.

Cool, evilpaul! The black mystery box makes very mysterious sounds with that delay on it. Doctor Who.

Btw, Michael, all of the toys that were supposed to be in my mother's garage are no longer there! Recently they've been donated to Goodwill. Sad There was this toy Casio piano blinky thingy that I thought would be cool to bend. Gone!!! I do have a Casio MT-140, buuuuuuut, maybe I want to start off with something more simple than that. So, I'll try to get something going for the next challenge.

@bliss: Yipes! That's no fun.

Yeah, the MT-140 might not be the best way to start... I'd love to see someone to try "acoustic bending", i.e., a hack of something else that makes sound. I'm not a purist. Or maybe "digital bending", hacking software somehow.

Evil Paul: awesome. And audio on Freesound, too. Bonus points.

Here is my entry for the challenge. It was a bit of a pain because the charity shops in my local town were closed, but I found some toys from earlier on in the year that I hadn't bend yet.

Hope you like. There is an mp3 clip to listen too also Smile

Ooh, wait, what happened to the *rest* of GetLoFi? It's now only the slide show? Smile

Will link, but want to see if there's a direct link or what...

Guess we should get on the ball with a CDM-embedded slide show, maybe as more entries start to come in.
