I was listening to RjD2's The Horror and for some reason it sounds extremely familiar, like its from the intro of a superhero show. I thought Xmen but I looked that up and it wasn't even close. My buddies are saying James Bond and i see where they are coming from but it doesn't seem right. Does anyone know of anything that used this song or sounds similar?

Hey c0rpse, it sounds similar to any number of classic cop and spy TV shows, and movies. Albeit more modern. Listen to all of these, especially the first few, and you will hear all of the musical elements present in RJD2's track. Wink

Swat
Ironside
The Mod Squad
Get Smart
Kojak
The Saint
The Streets of San Francisco
The Rockford Files
Cannon
The Persuaders

I listened to them all, and I could here the elements from them all, but I feel like it was in a cartoon superhero show.

It apparently uses a sample of The Scooby Doo theme music, but I can't remember how that goes.

The song has also been used as a lot of background music recently (Levi commercial I believe?), so that may add to its familiarity.

The Horns are sampled from Scooby Doo?

Scroll down to Legend and Informations for all the samples used in Dead Ringer.
